Costumes and Cosplay

  • Do you have rules for what I can wear?
Yes. Please see our Convention Rules - these will give you some basic guidelines.
  • What is the difference between cosplay and costume?
Cosplay relates to a specific character - for example, Master Luhhan or Liandrin. A costume is more general - Two Rivers, or Taraboner Red Ajah.
  • Will you have contests for cosplay?
Yes - please see our About on contests.

Schedule Questions

  • Why are the seminars numbered?
The are all run by our Guest of Honour, Linda Taglieri, and will only run once.
  • Why is there a half-hour between sessions?
This gap allows us to clean up and shuffle out any lagging participants. It also gives our staff a chance to breathe - as amazing as they are, they are still human!
  • I see you have "Lunch" and a suspicious gap near dinnertime. Are meals provided?
Meals will not be available - this year. In future we may have catering on hand, but to keep ticket prices affordable, that year is not this year. Fitzroy Hall is, however, located in the bustling hub of Burwood, and a plethora of eateries are available nearby (including the RSL less than a block away). The "dinnertime" block is time the staff will use to clean up the facility and ensure all is well before locking up. We will then proceed to a nearby venue for our own dinner and Trivia.
  • Aha! I knew you would have late night shenanigans! Can visitors join Trivia?
Of course! Be prepared for possible salty language - and we'll release the location of said shenanigans closer to the date, pending venue availability.

Workshop questions

  • Are numbers limited for any of the classes?
Both the Painting and Chainmaille classes may have a limit due to the availability of tools, but the Seminars are not limited.
  • Do I get to keep what I make?
Of course! For the Chainmaille class, you can also opt to buy a set of tools, to be collected after the Con.

Website questions

  • I'm having trouble with the ticket system.
OK - please send us an email using the Contact Form with as many details as possible and we will get the EventBrite team to have a look at it.
  • I've found an error on the website!
Oops! Just send us a line on the Contact Form and we will fix it as quickly as possible,
  • I can't read something on my mobile device or tablet!

We are aware of some issues, particularly on the Schedules page, where the page does not display correctly on mobile devices. We are currently pressing a hotfix for that page but will eventually update the entire site to be more mobile-friendly. In the mentime, if there is something you believe to be nearly as critical as the Schedules page that doesn't want to load properly on your device, please let us know.

  • I'm scared, new to town, or would like more personal help that I don't think can be handled here.

Yes, a restricted number of media passes are available. Please use our Contact Form to get in touch!

We do not have any volunteer positions remaining in 2015, but if you do wish to contribute a little more towards the Con, we do have ticket called the Silver Ticket, which will allow you to express a little more enthusiasm - and perhaps attract the attention of our sponsors.
